I make personal investments in companies I believe in. My conviction is driven by one of two leading factors.
Fundamental conviction
I am making a bet on the specific company, strategy, and team to succeed as an investment, with consideration for all the typical criteria (market size, competition, exit path, etc.).
Macro belief
I am making a bet on a macro trend I believe in. I don't necessarily expect a return, and am happy to invest to help the company continue to create value for the world.
Outside of my real investments, I maintain a "ghost portfolio": a series of companies that I would invest in if I had the access and capital to do so.
All investments are dated, and as time passes, I’ll update this page with high-level performance metrics. I will also begin to publish deals that I passed on that turned out to be mistakes.
