DAO (Decentralized autonomous organizations) for peace (DAO4Peace) is a new-era decentralized charity organization, devoted to promoting peace and prosperity in conflict regions. The organization is built on the most advanced blockchain technology to form a first-of-its-kind distributed organization that can change the game for charities and NGOs.
DAO4Peace uses blockchain infrastructure to perform most of its organizational functions in a maximum democratic environment, including fundraising, funds custody, investment of the principal funds, transparency, internal governance and more.
DAO4Peace opens the door for a new kind of nonprofit association -one that gives its supporters a real power to decide on important matters, from voting on the winner of development grants, to calling on a major pivot in the organization.
DAO4Peace takes advantage of its being blockchain-native, to implement a long-term strategy for investing its reserves in prominent cryptocurrencies and yield-generating DeFi protocols. This would allow the organization to run on its own fuel for generations to come, while remaining independent of external influence that often comes with funding needs.
DAO4Peace is not a one-way-street that only raises funds from the community. Rather, it is designed to give members meaningful incentives to contribute funds and participate in the organization's ongoing activities. Such incentives can be as little gestures like receiving exclusive NFTs, tribute of a known artist to our supporters, or big things like giving emergency grants to members who’ve suffered from natural disasters themselves (provided that the grant was approved by the relevant council and is legally feasible at such time).

DAO4Peace Foundation is organized as a non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting peace and prosperity in conflict regions in various ways, including the following:
DAO4Peace plans to launch a public fundraising campaign during the first quarter of 2022, with a target of raising 10 million USD in donations from supporters for its first and primary charity fund.
10-20% of the raised funds (1-2 million USD) will be allocated by the foundation each year for grants, loans and investments which support the foundation's designated charity causes.
The remaining 80-90% of the foundation's reserve (8-9 million USD) will be invested in a portfolio of cryptocurrencies, startups and staking protocols, with the expectance of generating at least 10-20% annually in average. The growth in the foundation's reserve will compensate for the annual charity distribution and cover for the operational costs. Any excessive yield which will get the reserve above its starting line of 10 million USD, will be added to the principal of the fund, allowing the organization to further grow organically over time.
In a traditional non-profit organization, such a fund would likely last for a few years only, due to high operational costs, currency inflation and low interest rates. DAO4Peace however, takes a very different trajectory on this matter and is designed to cover for its annual budget and even allow it to grow and develop far beyond its initial capacity.
