A Special Day is a calm, cozy life-simulation game where players explore everyday routines, build their own space, and interact with the world in a predictable, low-pressure way. Players move through a small town at their own pace, choosing simple, familiar activities like watering plants, making breakfast, arranging their room, or meeting friendly NPCs for small tasks.
The simulation design allows players to rehearse real-life situations in a gentle, non-threatening way: from social interactions and decision-making to sensory regulation and motor tasks. Each interaction makes the world feel a little less empty, opens new routines, and helps the character grow more confident in navigating everyday life.

People on the autism spectrum often face a mix of sensory, social, and executive-function challenges in everyday situations - planning the day, dealing with noise and change, handling routines, navigating spaces, meeting people. Traditional games rarely address these realities directly, and when they do, they often add pressure, overstimulation, or complexity.
