Welcome, and thanks for entering this stage with us. We’re excited to get to know you better.

We put this guide together so that you’ll know what to expect from the interview process and how to prepare. We’ve included as much info as possible, but if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We’re more than happy to talk it through.

Your portfolio

We center the whole process around your work samples. We believe whiteboarding sessions and other tests aren’t that great at reflecting what a job is really like. Your portfolio, on the other hand, shows us exactly how you think and what you come up with when you’re given real-world challenges.

It’s the best way to display your full, authentic self as a designer. That comes not only from the examples themselves, but how you choose to present and examine them. Your portfolio is a work of design itself—so take care in putting it together and thinking through the story it tells.

Process overview

We want our process to be fair and meaningful for all candidates. That’s another reason we focus so much on the portfolio: It means every designer—whether you’re in product design, content design, brand design, or another area—has the same steps and opportunities as everyone else.

We also want you to treat this process as a chance to evaluate us. We’re all better off when both sides are actively curious about each other.
