Nowadays, the Textile Industry wastes Billions of dollars per year in defective production and the leading solution to minimize defective production is having human inspection 24/7 to detect production faults. There has to be a better way!

We are looking for an accountable, passionate & energetic person with hands-on mindset to join our Machine Learning department.
The activities will be performed in Porto and involving operations all over the World, leading with a diverse group of people for a plethora of new topics every day.
With the push for sustainability in industry, as well as, the requirement of traceability for defective or scrapped parts, there is an opportunity to apply the Smartex solution to other manufacturing applications, where the inspection of parts is a requirement and a bottleneck.
The project's main goal would be to develop a generic application for quality control using existing Smartex hardware and pipelines that would be able to be deployed in multiple production line style industries with minimal to no adaptation.
