Overview

This section lists every n8n instance you’ve connected. Use it to monitor, back up, and manage each environment.
- View and Navigate
- The table displays each instance’s Name, Status, Workflows, Executions, Alerts, and Backups.
- Click the instance Name (e.g. “bringconnections”) to open its dashboard or settings in a new tab.
- Interpret Key Metrics
- Workflows: Number of automation flows defined on this instance.
- Executions: Total runs completed—from successes to failures.
- Alerts: Issues detected (warnings or errors).
- Backups: Snapshots taken manually or via schedule.
- Manage Monitoring
- Check the Status icon to see if the instance is actively monitored (green) or paused (gray).
- Click the Full/Basic badge to toggle:
- Full: Health checks + execution tracking
- Basic: Health checks only
- On-Demand Actions
- Backup Now: Instantly create a new backup snapshot.
- Edit (pencil icon): Update URL, API key, or agent settings.
- Delete (trash icon): Remove the instance from monitoring (irreversible).
Add Installation

Use this form to bring a new n8n instance under your monitoring umbrella.
- Click the Add Installation button.
- Enter Connection Details:
- URL: Your n8n’s web address (e.g. https://n8n.mycompany.com).
- API Key: Paste the key generated in your n8n user profile.
- Alternatively, follow the agent setup instructions if you prefer not to share an API key or your n8n is behind a firewall.
- Press Add.
- Once added, the new instance appears in the Installations table and begins reporting status, executions, and alerts immediately.
