Set the "Export To" drop-down to "Unreal Engine" and click on "Download Plugin".

Once the plugin has been downloaded the Export Settings should change to this:

Now select the version of Unreal you want to install the plugin on from the "Engine Version" drop-down.

Next, set the "Installation Folder" field to where your engine's plugins are installed, like this for instance: C:\Program Files\Epic Games\UE_4.24\Engine\Plugins. The path should basically be where your engine's plugins are installed.

⚠️ Important: If you're trying to install the plugin on a custom Unreal Engine build, just specify the path of your custom build's ..\Engine\Plugins folder.

⚠️ Important: On Mac the path to the plugin folder could be either of the following: Macintosh HD\Users\Shared\Epic Games\UE_4.24\Engine\Plugins OR \Applications\Epic Games\UE_4.24\Engine\Plugins

As soon as you've selected the path in the step above, Bridge will notify you that it is installing the plugin. Wait till it shows you a notification saying Installed successfully.

If you want to import Megascans content to a specific project, select the path to that project in the "Project Location" field.

⚠️ Important: The folder you select in the "Project Location" field should be inside your project's Content folder. This field is optional and can be left empty as well, in which case the Megascans content will be imported to a Megascans folder in your project's Content folder.

Once the installation is done, start up Unreal Engine. You should see a green Megascans button inside Unreal which means the livelink got installed successfully.

⚠️ Important: On Mac OS, the green Megascans button will not automatically appearing after the livelink has been installed. You will have to enable it from the Plugins menu (Built-In section) and restart Unreal Engine.

The plugin will run automatically whenever you start Unreal Engine.

Go to Bridge, select the asset you want to export from the Downloaded section. You can also tweak your export settings, like texture format, LODs, mesh format (FBX or OBJ), etc.

Click the "Export" button and your asset should pop up in the scene.

⚠️ Important: The LiveLink currently relies on a hard-coded port to receive data from Quixel Bridge : 13429. It can only work with one engine open on your system at a time.
