Growth Tracks:

🎨 Individual Contributor [IC]

• At least 60% of your time is spent on critical projects/products.
• You deliver impact through your expertise.
• This means you could be managing people and still be an IC if 60% of your time is on task/project delivery.

🧭 Manager [MG]

• At least 60% of your time is spent developing, coaching and leading high performing teams.
• You deliver impact through people development.
• This means you can still be delivering project/tasks and still be managing people if 60% of your time is on developing and coaching others.

Responsible for Value Creation

• Contributing to the day to day work using their specialism to deliver impact to our customers.

Typically covers:

• Set delivery OKRs
• Develop technical capabilities
• Coach technical growth
• Provide input to managers
• Evaluate and feedback on delivery

Responsible for Capability Creation

• Building up the right capabilities and people, equipping them with the skills and tools to deliver well.

Typically covers:

• Day to day pastoral care
• Develop long term career capabilities
• Set career development OKRs
• Gather and share feedback
• Performance management

• Managers are still specialists in their own way and will follow the individual contributor capabilities in all other areas.
