Details

The Graph Indexers are the backbone of Web3, as a result its critical that users have the best resources to help them get started as an Indexer and manage their infrastructure.

We are seeking an individual/team to develop an Indexer All-in-One Video Tutorial Series on indexing to help new Indexers learn and to share best practices! The Foundation expects the tutorials to be engaging, finely edited and inclusive of all chains.

RFP Requirements

These video tutorials should focus on basic to advanced steps for deployment and maintaining infrastructure. Tutorials can be broken up into parts but should cover all aspects of being a valuable and trusted Indexer from start to finish:

Notes:

Even though Indexers are assumed to have technical expertise (SysAdmin/DevOps), the video tutorials should capitalize on existing automation tools for easier infrastructure provisioning as well as subsequent software deployment (Index software stack). As such, for simplicity's sake, and to attract not so tech-savvy Indexers, the tutorials should rely on recipes making use of technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Ansible for services' orchestration and lifecycle management, as well as frameworks such as Terraform, Cloud-init for infrastructure provisioning. Optional, but ideal, the video tutorials would make use of a GUI-based framework (currently in the works); alternatively, it's up to the author of the video to guide the user on how to do so with existing solutions such as Portainer, Rancher, or Kubermatic, as examples. The tutorials must showcase how Indexers would use the automated tools to deploy the node on common cloud providers (a feature to be provided by ‣).
