At Remagine, one of our core values is INTENTIONALITY. We believe in being intentional about the changes we want to create and, at the strategic level, that means that the impact we want to create has to be explicit and measurable.

We use the Theory of Change framework to translate our intentions and to design our strategic path to achieve the change we want to see in the world: money and business as forces for good.

This framework has 3 main building blocks:

  1. Inputs
  2. Outputs
  3. Outcomes

This simply means that we map the main inputs of our company - what we have at hand as products, services, tools resources - understand what kind of operational indicators they deliver (outputs) and what kind of additionality or change these outputs will generate (outcomes).

Most companies still only look at the outputs of their operations and lack the intentionality to bring change at the next level. Looking strategically at the outcomes is what we call impact.

We believe companies need to act towards the outcomes to be considered impactful and that’s the concept we translate in our assessment matrix to define the stage in which companies are.

It all looks a bit complex, but it simply shows the relations, starting from bottom to top, among our activities and the results they generate.
