Batch 5 QA correction, 2026-05-17: Repaired historical image-audit record. This page says the May 3 image audit was closed out by the May 5 SEO/image repair work. Use Image Audit - 2026-05-16 as the current image-audit blocker; the 2026-05-13 page is now historical.

Closeout Status - 2026-05-08

This image-audit record is closed out as repaired from the May 5 SEO repair work.

Fixed:

• Missing alt text was pushed live for media IDs 63567, 63553, 63551, 63537, 63536, 63534, 63493, and 63492 through WordPress REST.
• The two oversized images, media IDs 63537 and 63389, were replaced/compressed in place on Cloudways so indexed URLs did not change.
• Original files were backed up on the server at /home/admin/image-audit-backups-2026-05-05.

Verified live or by saved evidence:

• WordPress REST returned the expected alt text after update for all 8 media records.
• Cache-busted checks and REST metadata confirmed the origin files were smaller after replacement; no-query Cloudflare edge cache lag was treated as cache behavior, not an unresolved image edit.
• Working files are under /Users/samaguiar/Documents/Codex/images/2026-05-05-image-audit-fixes.

Still blocked:

• No image item from this audit remains blocked. Existing .jpg.webp double-extension filenames were intentionally not renamed because changing indexed media URLs would create unnecessary URL risk.
• The only remaining blocker for the combined May 1 and May 5 SEO repair closeout is the /contact-us/ Cloudflare challenge, outside the image-audit scope.
