Privacy Policy for IfEver

1. Overview
IfEver ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This application is designed as a local-first safety tool. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data on our servers.
2. Data Storage
All data created within IfEver (including voice recordings, contact information, and logs) is stored locally on your device using the operating system's secure storage. We do not have access to your data.
3. Permissions
- Location: Used only to display your coordinates on your dashboard and generate emergency message drafts. Your location is not tracked in the background when the app is closed (unless active monitoring is enabled by you).
- Microphone: Used only to record voice notes for your safety packet.
- Motion/Pedometer: Used locally to detect activity and reset safety timers automatically.
4. Battery Preservation & Automatic Suspension
To ensure you have sufficient battery power to make emergency calls (e.g., 911/112) in a crisis, IfEver includes an automatic "Circuit Breaker" feature.
- Automatic Pause: Active monitoring will automatically STOP if your device's battery level falls below 20% while not charging.
- Notification: The App will attempt to send a local push notification to alert you when monitoring is paused.
- User Responsibility: It is your sole responsibility to ensure Push Notifications are enabled for IfEver. If notifications are disabled at the system level, you will not receive this alert. You acknowledge that you must manually check the App's status and re-activate monitoring after charging.
5. Data Deletion
Since your data is stored locally, simply uninstalling the application will permanently delete all your data from the device.
