A BIT OF ADRENALINE ?

Less than 20 minutes drive away from the Chateau, Aeroplume can help make that dream come true thanks to their individual blimp, you’ll actually have to flap your wings! It’s 60 euros per person (anyone above 7 years old and under 90 kgs, for 30 minutes experience.
• Bouldering and climbing is the perfect activity for a weekend, go to Climbup Caen 50min away from home. No reservation needed for bouldering but training needed if you want to climb, you can also book classes for kids and adults.
• Pretend you’re a viking with axe throwing, this unique place doubles as a pub! Count 30€ for 1 hour (up to 5 people).

MUSEUMS & Co

• 15 minutes away from us you’ll find the D-Day experience museum. A one of a kind immersive museum about WWII with flight simulator and 3D cinema.
• 40 min drive from le Chateau you will reach Cherbourg and the Cite de la Mer for anyone passionate and/or curious about anything related to the sea and the ocean. Book your spot online.
• Did anyone say Escape Room ? You can find 2 of them in Carentan with great decors and plots around Dday. They’re available in english and can be booked online.
• The historic town of Bayeux and its UNESCO “Tapestry” is 30 min way and was called best museum she’s ever been to by one of our coliver from Australia.
• Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicompte is another Château in the region from the 11th century, it is know for its fortified enceinte with towers and a massive keep.

ENTERTAINMENT

• The Cherbourg Movie Theater screen movies in english! Check out times and prices on the website and look for VOST (original version).
• Visit the Cider factory Théo Capelle, after an hour of explanations and tour, you’ll be able to try all their specialties, from cider to Calvados! Kids are welcome, book over the phone (+33 2 33 04 41 17) everyday but Sunday.
• Go swimming and relax in the sauna at the Aquadick Center just 15min away. Aquagym and aquabike sessions are also available.
• An even bigger aquatic center welcomes you in Granville, 1h15min away.
• Cherbourg has a casino where you can dine in and play. Some concerts and shows are curated each month. 18+
• Also in Cherbourg, you can find a bowling alley (and table soccer, air hockey, darts…) open from Tuesday to Sunday.
