1. Any young participants joining? πŸ‘ΆπŸ»

Gatherly is for people of all ages! We encourage all types of people to participate in events held on our platform.

Although, just to make sure we're not breaking any rules and are staying safe, if a participant is 13 or younger (or if you are 13 and younger and reading this without your parents), please ensure their legal guardian signs this COPPA waiver:

2. Basic Tech Specs πŸ€“

Please ensure you are logging onto the platform using the Chrome browser on your computer - not phone or tablet! It can be hard to move around on such a tiny screen.

3. Hard Time Connecting? Try This! πŸ•ΈοΈ

Make sure to turn off any VPNs and ensure that there are not any other video chat apps in running in the background.

NOTE: If you click on a link and receive a 404 error but you know the event has already begun, try clearing your cache or going in incognito mode.

4. The Interactive Tutorial for First Time Users πŸ‘ΆπŸ½

Make sure to go through the interactive tutorial you see before arriving at the event. This will help you practice the basics: how to move, how to join others to engage in conversation, and how to operate the elevators.

If you are curious to see what the tutorial is all about even before the event, please use the tutorial link below:

5. Max Conversation Huddle Size of 15 πŸ’¬

Gatherly aims to prevent bloated boring conversations where you can't seem to get a word in! This is why each conversation huddle allows up to 15 people. Don't ever sit through this again 😭:
