Fouls and home referee advantage
- Hard to tell what calls come from which referee
- Could we look at groupings of 3?
- How much do referees move between different locations
- Over several years, are there certain locations where the advantage is larger vs. smaller?
Where do Michigan athletes come from?
- Are there specific states for specific sports?
- Is there a midwest bias? (likely yes but to what degree)
- Race of athletes by sport - not sure if this is something we can do but it might be public information or FOIA-able or could be a survey of athletes
When do substitutions happen and who is substituted?
Why are timeouts called? Are there certain factors that can predict a timeout being called?
Michigan NIL data - after the NCAA ruling, donors created non-profits that fund ads for specific schools

- Is there a difference in turnout between elections that happen while school is in session versus not?
- We would have to control for high versus low turnout elections (primaries happen disproportionately when students aren’t on campus)
