Building a Virtual Machine (VM) in Hyper-V: Step-by-Step Guide

Prerequisites

1. Hyper-V must be installed and enabled on your Windows machine (Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, or Education).
2. Administrative privileges are required.
3. A valid ISO image of the operating system you want to install.

Step 1: Open Hyper-V Manager

1. Press Windows + S and type Hyper-V Manager.
2. Click to open it.
3. Ensure your host machine appears in the left pane under Hyper-V Manager.

Step 2: Create a New Virtual Machine

1. In Hyper-V Manager, click Action → New → Virtual Machine.
2. The New Virtual Machine Wizard will open.
