- Log in to the Automark website. Go to https://auto.nomoremarking.com/tasks and log in using your No More Marking username and password.
- Create a task. Click ‘Create a custom task’, give your task a name and click update. Then select the task.
- Upload list of student names. You will need to upload a csv file with your students’ names. You can download a template of what this should look like from Automark. If you encounter any errors, see this guide here.
- Download and print the answer sheets. Once you’ve uploaded your students’ names, Automark will create a set of coded answer papers for you. There will be one for each student. Print off this PDF so you can give the papers to each student.
- Upload the answer key. You’ll need to upload a csv with the answers to your test. You can see a template of what this should look like on the Answer Key page.
- Get your students to answer the questions! As this is a custom task, you will have designed the questions. ****You can choose whether to print off a copy of the questions for each student, or you if you would rather display them on your screen in class.
- Scan in the filled in answer sheets and upload them to Automark. Once the students have filled in their answers, collect them and scan them in. We recommend scanning them using a photocopier as this will give the best results. If you put your photocopier on to the scan setting, it will email you a PDF of the scan. Upload this PDF to Automark.
- Check any issues. Automark will automatically flag any answers it’s uncertain about for you to review manually.
- Get your local results instantly! You will immediately get two CSVs available for download - ‘marks’ and ‘responses’. ‘Marks’ gives you the score for each student and whether they got each question right or wrong. ‘Responses’ tells you which option they selected.
