Screenshots are really useful for sharing information and also issues with others. There are a range of methods to take a screenshot on Windows.
Use the Snipping Tool to capture sections of the screen:
- Select Start, type 'snipping tool', then select Snipping Tool from the results
- On the Snipping Tool, click New
- Using your mouse, select the area on your screen you would like to capture
- You can then paste the screenshot where you need it or save it
Use Windows + Print Screen to capture your entire screen:
- To take a screenshot, press theĀ Windows key + PrtScn
- The screenshot will automatically save in Pictures - Screenshots
Use the Print Screen keyboard button to capture your entire screen:
- Press PrtScn on the upper-right side of your keyboard
- The screenshot will be saved to your Clipboard
- To save the file, paste the screenshot into any program that allows you to insert images, like Microsoft Word or Paint and save it as a file
