  1. On the Windows 10 sign-in screen, press and hold the SHIFT key on the keyboard, and with this key still pressed click the Power icon in bottom right and in the menu that opens click Restart
  2. Windows 10 restarts and asks you to select an option, choose Troubleshoot
  3. Then choose Reset this PC
  4. Next choose Remove everything
  5. Windows 10 restarts again and asks if you want to use the current version of Windows on your PC or get the latest version from Microsoft – the quickest option is to choose Local reinstall
  6. Now choose the correct option for resetting the PC, if you are disposing of or giving away the machine choose “Clean the drive fully”, but if you are keeping the machine or repurposing it choose Just remove my files
  7. Finally, click the Reset button to confirm and proceed with the reset. Now wait for the PC to go through the reset process, and once done it should restart ready for Windows 10 first time setup
