Roads & Parking Menu

Access the Roads & Parking menu (Car Icon) in the Draw Palette at the bottom of the app window.

Here, you will find parking, path, and road tools.

Parking
- On-Grade parking: Add a flat parking lot
- Multi-deck parking: Add a multi-level parking structure
- Underground Parking: Represent parking planned for underground
Path: Styled for footpath/bike path use.
Road: Styled for motor vehicle use. Includes options to adjust the width of attached sidewalks.

Draw Parking

Giraffe offers 3 methods of generating parking geometry:

Select the Parking Usage type from the menu to begin.

In the draw palette, select the diagonal 2-dot icon next to the Usage you would like to apply.

Click at each corner of the line. Double Click at the final node to exit the tool.

Select whether the geometry offsets from the spine to the right, left, or both.

Select the width of the geometry.

Edit Existing Geometry

Use the standard drawing toolset to edit your existing geometry.

Create a New Polygon

Select the polygon tool from the general draw palette.

Create your custom polygon.

Apply a usage from the left-hand palette.
