Project Requirements

• Max 4 people per team
• Original code/work

  • Boilerplate code may be used, but you must cite your source(s)

    • Eligible sources consist of code from open-source tutorials and code given to hackers through sponsor workshops.

    Rules & Regulations

    • An example of citing could be commenting the code you borrowed or including a works cited page in your DevPost submission

  • All code and/or other materials must have been written or produced within the time frame of the hacking period (February 21st at 11AM — February 22nd at 11AM)

• No cross-hackathon submissions allowed
  • You may not submit your Pearl Hacks project to another hackathon, or vice versa!
• Late submissions will not be considered for prize judging, but may still be demo-ed at the fair

Submitting to DevPost

Please submit your hackathon projects by 11AM Sunday, Feb 22, 2025. This is where you will see prizes you can submit for!

Step 1: Register for Pearl Hacks DevPost

a) Go to the PH2026 DevPost Page

b) Click “Register for this hackathon”

c) Log in/create account (use the same email you did when you registered for Pearl Hacks on TypeForm)

Step 2: Enter a submission

a) Click “Enter a submission”

b) Click “Start a project”

<aside> 📣 NOTE: All team members should make a DevPost account, but only one person should submit a project. Everyone else should be added as a collaborator.

Step 3: Fill out project submission details

a) Fill out your project details (brief is fine), then add your team. Upload a screenshot or photo, include a link to your code and/or other materials somewhere (this part is important!), and click “Save.”

b) Opt-in to any category or sponsor prizes you would like to be considered for in the “Sponsor / Special Prizes” dropdown (see below). You may opt-in to multiple prizes. Judges and sponsors will receive lists of projects based on the prizes you select. You will pitch individually to one or more judges for each.
