“What size watch should I get?” It’s one of the most common questions new watch buyers ask - and with good reason. The size of your watch plays a big role in how it looks and feels on your wrist. This quick watch size guide will help you find the perfect fit.
Start by measuring your wrist. You can use a flexible measuring tape or wrap a string around your wrist and measure it against a ruler. Most men's wrists range from 6 to 8 inches in circumference.
Case thickness affects how high the watch sits. Thinner watches (under 10mm) are more subtle, while thicker cases (over 12mm) are bolder.
Also look at the lug-to-lug length (the vertical span of the watch). Ideally, it should stay within your wrist’s width to avoid overhang.
Watches are also a personal style choice. A dress watch might look better smaller and sleeker, while a dive or chronograph can wear bigger. Don’t be afraid to try different sizes - you might be surprised what feels right.
