Events hosted on YouTube, Vimeo, Soundcloud, or Twitch can all be embedded onto the Melbourne Fringe platform. You can add your embed code to the “Dates, Times & Prices” section of Eventotron up to 72 hours before your first event. We can only embed from these four platforms. If you are wanting to use another platform, then you should follow the instructions in our How to add a link to Eventotron instructions. Make sure your content is set to unlisted and is NOT password protected.
Step 1 - Go to www.eventotron.com and select your Melbourne Fringe Festival 2021 event.
Step 2 - Click on “Dates, Times & Prices” under “Digital Fringe”, then click on the Red Video Camera icon. If you have multiple sessions you will need to re-enter the code for each session by clicking on each Red Video Camera Icon and following steps 3 – 6.
Step 3 - Select your Streaming Type from the dropdown menu. This should be YouTube Embed, Vimeo Embed, Sound Cloud Embed, or Twitch Embed.
Step 4 - Paste your embed code in the “Link / Embed Code” text box.
The formatting of the embed code depends on what platform you’re using. Here’s a guide:
Twitch
Please provide the iframe version of the embed code. You can leave "www . Example . com" in the body, our website will automatically replace this with melbournefringe.com.au.
Vimeo and Soundcloud
Please provide the iframe version of the embed code. We only need everything from <iframe> to </iframe>, please delete everything after </iframe>.
Youtube
Please provide the iframe version of the embed code. What you copy straight from the Youtube embed should work a treat.
If you need a refresher on how to copy your embed code, please refer to the Guide to Digital Fringe on Eventotron or on the Resource Hub here. Step 5 - Select “Save Changes”. After you’ve saved make sure you don’t change your link without first emailing [email protected].
