Ride Report defaults to remote best practices and wants all employees to feel just as much a part of the company, regardless of whether you're in the office or working remotely. Our remote-accessible practices aim to make all our communication more accessible, transparent and explicit.

When can I work remote?

Before the pandemic, Ride Report required people in most of our positions to work primarily at the Portland headquarters office. During the pandemic, Ride Report closed its HQ office, and transitioned to being a fully remote team.

As vaccines became available, and transmission of COVID became better understood, we reopened our physical Portland office space following precautions for indoor public space as recommended by the State of Oregon. But, working remotely was still working really well for a lot of our workforce, at least some of the time. As of summer 2021, Ride Report formalized a fully hybrid workforce policy. All employees can work from the office, their homes, or elsewhere going forward. We will continue to evolve our practices and processes to optimize for a distributed workforce.

Which positions can be hired outside the Portland area?

Currently, all positions at Ride Report can be hired outside the Portland area. However, our compensation structure is based on Portland-area market data.
