When you back a request, you’re pledging to increase the bounty attached to the request by the amount you specify.

To back a request, click the Back this request button on the request page. You’ll then specify the following:

• Pledge amount - This is the amount you are pledging to contribute in the future if the request is successfully fulfilled. This amount increases the total bounty value of the request.
• Payment method - Add a new payment method or choose an existing one.
• Privacy - By default, your pledge is public and visible to all users and guests. If you don’t want your pledge to be visible to other users and guests you may change the privacy setting to private.
