Google Workspace

Our email provider of choice is Google Workspace. Not only are all of our email messages and calendar invitations distributed by Gmail, but we also use Meet, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive to communicate, work, and share data.

Slack

Our preferred communication platform is Slack. When you need to get someone’s attention or ask a question, this is the place to go. We’ll cover more about Slack and how we communicate in the next section.

Toggl

Toggl is our time tracking software for client projects. It provides the simplest time tracking on the market, advanced reporting features, and more.

Smartsheet

We use Smartsheet for managing client and internal projects. Think of Smartsheet as a smart spreadsheet that is capable of advanced automation with multiple view-types including cards, Gantt charts, forms, dashboards, and more.

Gusto

Gusto is where all things payroll lives. You will be onboarded to the system when you start with us, and this is how you will receive your direct deposits, pay stubs, and W-2s or 1099s.

This tool is completely self-service, and it's important to always keep your information up-to-date.

BambooHR

BambooHR is our applicant tracking system (ATS) as well as our human resource information system (HRIS). All of our employment, employee files, performance management, learning management, and more are housed within this one tool. We designed this to be your one-stop resource for all things Proactive Talent.

This tool is completely self-service, and it's important to always keep your information up-to-date.

Ease

Our employee benefits are managed through a benefits administration tool called Ease. During your new-hire period and open enrollment, you will receive an invitation to accept or decline your health, dental, and vision benefits through our web portal. We use this platform in partnership with our benefits broker.

Guideline

We utilize Guideline for the facilitation of our employee 401(k) plans. After you've been employed with us for ninety (90) days, you will be invited to sign up for or decline participation in our safe harbor 401(k) plan. Guideline directly integrates with our payroll provider, Gusto, to provide seamless semi-monthly payroll deductions.

Managers of One

Proactive Talent doesn’t hire individuals to be middle managers. Anyone who leads a team here has a primary role in doing the work they were hired for and a secondary role in ensuring that those on their team are able to work productively by giving them the tools they need to be successful. This means that we rely on everyone at Proactive Talent to do a lot of self-management.

This means rolling up your sleeves and getting things done. Our team is full of self-starters who are capable of setting their own direction when one isn’t given by determining what needs to be done, doing the work, and not waiting around for someone to tell them what to do. This means being autonomous and spending your time well. There is always more work to be done and things to Kaizen.

A Note About Autonomy

We believe in autonomy and doing what you love at Proactive Talent. We believe that you should be able to chart your own course, wherever that may lead. We want to support you in your personal and professional growth and development. We also want to make sure that your professional endeavors outside of Proactive Talent do not create conflicts of interest or affect your time, dedication, or performance at work. So, when it comes to moonlighting*, we must maintain a delicate balance, and Proactive Talent must always get priority.
