Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Acts 16:30-31

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18

But…

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” Romans 10:9-11

Jesus did the heavy lifting by going to the cross to pay the penalty of death our sins demanded and He extends the free gift of salvation to everyone who will believe. It turns out, God is not interested in our religion or even what church a person attends, per se. But, He is very interested in having the whole world — every language, every tribe, every nation, every kindred — call, believe and confess that Jesus is Lord to be saved.

If you wished to be saved, say this prayer:

Jesus I call on You right now. I do believe that You are Lord and that you died on a cross for my sins and were raised from the dead by God. I invite You into my heart and I confess You as the Lord of my life. From this day forward, I am your servant and Jesus is my Lord. Amen.”
