Location Types
There are 4 fundamental types of locations in Remnant adventures (I won't get into campaign only locations since there's no real rhyme or reason to them but that's okay)
- Points Of Interest (always in the middle of the map. Most merchants are PoI's, or the evil tree on earth for example, or the Abandoned Throne)
- Side Dungeons (only 1 entry/exit, very varied events inside)
- Boss dungeons (2 exits, brings you to the area of the ivereorld previously blocked by that one-way door, but the door doesn't always prevent you from reaching the middle of the map PoI. always has 2 location names for the dungeon and then the miniboss's area)
- World Boss Lairs (just what you'd expect, there's always 1 of 2 world bosses in a roll and you don't need to get through a dungeon first to reach them)
Map Layout
Every roll on any biome will always feature one of each of every location type, and randomly picks from the respective location pools.
One way doors
Although not a location of its own, there will always be a door near the Point Of Interest that may only be opened from the side you can only access after crossing through the boss dungeon

Door closing off the Wasteland Merchant Ooint Of Interest from one side
- Sometimes the Point Of Interest will be accessible before crossing through the boss dungeon, other times it won't
Minimap
- Entrances to locations you haven't yet visited during the current roll will pulsate to reflect that

Dungeon layouts - especially boss dungeons - will usually (but not always) lead players from the lower left to the upper right of the minimap
- this knowledge is particularly valuable on Rhom, with its many labyrinth-like dungeons
