When I decided to take AP Psychology in 9th grade, I had no tutor, no AP class, no academy, and no fancy online course.
Just one book, a pen, and the promise that if I read that book enough times, it would eventually stick.
It worked — I got a 5.
Here’s exactly how I did it and how you can do the same.
Barron’s AP Psychology — any edition works.
Barron’s and Princeton Review barely change their content unless the exam format itself changes.
If you can’t get the newest version quickly, buy a used one. It’ll be fine.
I lent my copy to a friend after the exam, so I don’t even have a photo of it anymore — but trust me, it’s all you need.
I’ve always believed one thing:
“Reading one book ten times is better than reading ten books once.”
AP Psychology proved that true.
You don’t need multiple prep books.
You just need one — but you need to absolutely master it.
So my rule was simple:
One book. Ten passes. Total memorization.
