I have been playing with an inspiration system inspired by MCDM’s victory points and increasing resources during combats.

I call these D6’s Combat Inspiration.

I award one combat inspiration after a puzzle has been solved, an ally NPC was made, after surviving a combat, or some other form of progress is made by the players. (This also works pretty well with the new initiative system because it’s just means they get their D6 from the combat right as the fight starts instead of after surviving it).
