I am a Ph.D. candidate in statistical physics at Seoul National University, with a focus on the physics of machine learning and nonequilibrium statistical mechanics. My research explores: (1) Measuring nonequilibrium fluctuations using machine learning techniques (2) Analyzing the dynamics of machine learning models through the lens of statistical mechanics (3) Memorization and Generalization in generative models

By developing both theoretical frameworks and computational tools, I aim to understand how nonequilibrium fluctuations arise and optimize their occurrence in complex systems. I also bridge the gap between statistical mechanics and machine learning, seeking new insights into model performance, robustness, and efficiency. I'm currently working on a new project with business school researchers about the role of luck in success, in addition to my work in statistical physics!
