**Airport Arrival Guide (**Watch my airport arrival guide here)
- Fast Track: Not needed as it’s immigration in Da Nang is smooth (versus Hanoi/HCMC)
- Currency Exchange: Avoid, even USD to VND had bad rates
- ATM / Cash Withdrawal: HSBC, SeABank, BIDV. All of these have at least 50k VND charge per transaction. Better withdraw VPBank at the city.
- Airport to City: private transfer or Grab. Grab pick-up is NOT directly outside the terminal. After exiting, cross the pedestrian, turn left to the “garden-ish” area. You will see a Grab Booth. ONLY BOOK AT THIS LOCATION!
- SIM Card: Pre-book online, as it’s more expensive to buy onsite
- WATCH OUT: Always check the plate # of your Grab. Grab Booth offers assistance. Avoid those telling you they will help you book Grab (only ask assistance from Grab Booth!). Also avoid drivers directly outside terminal offering transfer service

Travel Tips
- Taxi: Avoid at all costs
- Locals offering photos: Avoid at all costs, especially shoe shine, Non La shops (the traditional hat), fruit vendors, etc.
- Currency Exchange: Always check google rate, gold shops in Han Market have competitive rates
- Haggle: Prices in the markets such as Han and Son Tra are highly expensive for tourists, so always haggle (tawad).
- Tailor in Hoi An: Tailor shops in Hoi An are good and done in almost less then 24 hours. Make sure to bring sample photos of what you want to be made
- Weather: Dec-Feb are usually cooler, but not cold. Mar-Aug is dry and hot. Sep-Nov is the rainy season.
- Day Pass at Resorts: You can also go to either Nautica or Sheraton Grand Da Nang (usually priced at 550k VND, but consumable for food). Day Pass gives you access to pool/resort + towels.

Airport Departure Guide
- Transportation: GrabCar or Private Transfer: Airport
- Timing: Be at the airport at least 3 hours before flight departure as check-in lines + immigration can be queuing
- Upon Arrival: Check the screens and line up at your check-in counter. You can already line up even the counters are still closed. Baggage wrapping services available (usually 80k-100k VND)
- Hand Carry Weight: Budget airlines such as Cebu Pacific and AirAsia are strict with 7kg (weightage include your personal/small items)
- Immigration: After check-in, just go the airport center for immigration. Lines can get longer so line up immediately
- Lounge: CIP Orchid Lounge Available for Mastercard Travel Pass holders. Also available for purchase on Klook.
