On the (stealth co) team, you'll own the responsibility of knowing everything there is to know about the data and RLaaS industry, running frontier ML experiments, and figuring out how to be in the right rooms and do research into areas that don't exist on the internet yet. Your work might include:
Agency is key. You can learn anything from an afternoon with Claude, given the right questions. You can meet with anyone given the right identification of priorities and motivations. You can find a way to learn anything, given the right people and credit card to go find them.
I am looking for someone with so much agency, they’ll probably outgrow this role. Its a skillset I know to be extremely useful but hard to describe to be a top-line founder/venture investor here in SF, especially as venture firms increasingly veer away from hiring traditional investor profiles and an AI-native education through internships is increasingly rare.
You’ll partner closely with me and a few other heavyweights in the data/rlaas industry this summer to do unorthodox things in the space to help out companies at the frontier of improving model capabilities from the training and data side. You will work with the most technical researchers at frontier labs and neolabs, to those operating unsophisticated services businesses in parts of the country. You will be entrusted with extremely confidential information in a very opaque industry, and also be expected to gather similarly opaque information.
