Platform for buyers and sellers on Craigslist to transact with peace of mind. The website used social verification and ratings/reviews to build a sense of trust with people transacting on Craigslist. It also provided a mechanism for making payments on Craigslist much more trustworthy.

Why

Doing anything on Craigslist is frustrating and scary. I wanted to create a way to transact with strangers on the platform without fear of getting scammed, mugged, or worse.

Learnings

• Transactions are beginning to move off the platform because of this very problem.
• Too much initial friction to get users to sign up.
• Unclear how to make money, most transacting on platform there to save, not spend more.
• Many of the digital currency projects that exist today can accomplish this goal better.
