I'm a natural leader, cultural facilitator, and mentor who is driven to making a difference in the world. I connect with people. I affirm their individual uniqueness. And I inspire them to get a deeper understanding of their story through strengths, values, and cultural awareness.

Entrepreneur, Storyteller, Talent Developer

🙋🏿‍♀️Hey, I’m Anne-Marcelle, and I am all about bridging cultural gaps between people through storytelling. I love helping people figure out their unique voice so that they can succeed authentically at work and in life!

I got my first professional experience running the Global Village Community at Juniata College from the group up. I grew as a leader using my cross-cultural and interpersonal skills to get people to connect through storytelling and develop empathy for each other.

Being exceptionally adaptable, I went on to initiate a self-guided, sociolinguistic research where I lived with migrants across France, Tunisia, and Morocco. Along the way, I leveraged my personal network, US-Ivorian background, and language skills ****in French to collect a dozen personal narratives. I even won the Best Research Poster Presentation at the Lessons from Abroad (LFA) 2019 Conference in Pittsburg, PA, as a result!

Now, I’m a Certified YouMap® Coach and Creator of “Silk Road Journey,” a personal story lab that affirms students (10 so far) to shape their stories into meaningful career opportunities. In hindsight, I identified an opportunity to flex up my coaching skills by being in the mix of my target audience through Praxis, a career accelerator program for entrepreneurial youths and early career professionals like me!

If you want someone on your team who’s excited to grow, ask critical questions, and explore deep human connections in people operations, talent development, and user experience (UX) research, then we should talk!

🧐 A quick insider at how I use the principles of digital minimalism in my daily workflow to protect my attention

Digital minimalism, coined by Author and Professor Cal Newport, is a philosophy of technology use based on the understanding that our relationship with our apps, tools, and phones is nuanced and deserves more intention than we give it. I use this approach in my daily routine to engage in deep work as shown throughout this video.

📜 Projects & Case Studies

👩🏿‍🏫I created a YouMap® Coaching Program for Praxis in 30 Days

I saw that participants at Praxis felt demotivated and struggled to describe what they're naturally good at. So, I used YouMap, a holistic self-discovery process, to help them discover their Four Pillars of Career Fit — strengths, values, motivating skills, and career interests — in order help them build more confidence and land meaningful roles!

📊I led an end-to-end product development case study for my business, Silk Road Journey, using mixed methods research in 8 weeks

I spent 8 weeks learning about product development processes, double diamond framework, problem space discovery, UX Research methods, sampling, interviewing, survey creation, and customer feedback.

✍🏿I built a personal story lab experience called Silk Road Journey to affirm underestimated students for their genius and produced results within 3-months of launch!

Here is an example of me coaching a student through her personal statement using the Moments Method® — a 5 steps process that teaches you the science of authentic storytelling

👩🏿‍🤝‍👨🏾I used my knowledge of YouMap® and the Clifton Strengths to recruit talents and build effective partnerships!

Here, I talk about my unique approach to people operations, and how I leverage self-discovery tools like YouMap and Clifton Strengths to not only recruit talents but also create meaningful partnerships.
