Hennessy V.S. x Vhils "Make the Invisible Visible" Limited Edition

Mechanics: a microsite with a map that shows iconic bars in Kyiv and separate pages about each bar. These pages about bars are dedicated to each bar's history and mission and how they reflect the city in their menu or interior, why some of them stayed in a speakeasy format and why the city would never be the same without them.

Brand Role: Hennessy takes on a role of a guide to the local bar culture, teaches about certain qualities of the place which are not seen on the plain sight thus showing bars' cultural value and authenticity. The reader in this case gets the exclusive knowledge about a well-known bar, reveals some secret information. Hennessy does an important thing, it makes the invisible visible.

Collaboration Concept: every year for the past 9 years Hennessy partners with famous artists to design a limited edition bottle of Hennessy V.S. In 2018, it was a Portuguese street artist Vhils. The Ukrainian project about this collaboration reflected the global concept in interviews with selected bar owners and bartenders, by taking quotes from Vhils's interview about this partnership and integrating them into local context: “For me it is interesting to create something that will be alive after...What I do takes time to evolve, to mature...I live to push the limits/I never stop and never settle...With Hennessy we do what takes a lot of time, we let it do its’ thing and then give it shape...I use different techniques to reveal all the layers and make the invisible visible”
