Both CBD extracts and CBD flower naturally each have different properties and accordingly have advantages and disadvantages. In the following we have therefore compiled a list with the respective differences.

CBDcontent:

In contrast to CBD extracts, CBD flowers can naturally hardly contain more than 4% CBD. So if you want to produce more concentrated CBD products without exceeding the legal limit of 0.2% based on the content of the psychoactive cannabinoid THC, you have to extract the CBD from the plant. There are various methods for this, some of which differ in terms of cost and quality. By using extracted CBD, it is theoretically conceivable to produce products such as CBD oil with almost unlimited CBD content. So today there are some CBD extracts with more than 40% CBD on the market available. For taking higher doses of CBD using CBD flowers, a comparatively large amount is required.

Production costs: This is a clear advantage of the CBD flowers . Their price is based purely on the breeding of the plant and other common costs. CBD extracts, on the other hand, are often produced with the help of very cost-intensive processes, which is ultimately also reflected in the price (CBD oil price comparison).

Dosage: In terms of the dosage of the CBD, CBD extracts have a clear advantage. Due to natural fluctuations, the exact CBD content of CBD flowers is difficult to determine. In addition, the quantities are more difficult to estimate and the type of ingestion (usually by inhaling or vaporizing with a vaporizer) is also subject to fluctuations. With CBD extracts, on the other hand, the respective CBD content is known exactly and can either be dosed using standardized drops, as with CBD oil, or is already pre-portioned for products such as CBD capsules.

Shelf life: CBD flowers contain small amounts of water, which means that, like all natural products, they are exposed to a certain degree of natural decay. The quality of such flowers can therefore degrade significantly over time. CBD extracts, on the other hand, have a much longer shelf life and do not lose quality even after a long time.
