• Decarboxylation: Decarboxylation is related to a chemical process, the explanation of which would go beyond the scope here. In short, decarboxylation basically means the “activation” of substances, in this case CBD. This activation takes place at a different temperature for each substance. The acidic form of CBD (Bad) is converted into CBD. With CBD extracts, the CBD is usually decarboxylases during the manufacturing process. CBD flowers can be treated in the same way. But if you buy pure CBD flowers, you usually have to do it yourself.

Production costs: This is a clear advantage of the CBD flowers . Their price is based purely on the breeding of the plant and other common costs. CBD extracts, on the other hand, are often produced with the help of very cost-intensive processes, which is ultimately also reflected in the price (CBD oil price comparison).

Dosage: In terms of the dosage of the CBD, CBD extracts have a clear advantage. Due to natural fluctuations, the exact CBD content of CBD flowers is difficult to determine. In addition, the quantities are more difficult to estimate and the type of ingestion (usually by inhaling or vaporizing with a vaporizer) is also subject to fluctuations. With CBD extracts, on the other hand, the respective CBD content is known exactly and can either be dosed using standardized drops, as with CBD oil, or is already pre-portioned for products such as CBD capsules.

Shelf life: CBD flowers contain small amounts of water, which means that, like all natural products, they are exposed to a certain degree of natural decay. The quality of such flowers can therefore degrade significantly over time. CBD extracts, on the other hand, have a much longer shelf life and do not lose quality even after a long time.

• Ingestion: The ingestion of CBD extracts can be done in various ways. Many products such as CBD oil or capsules are taken orally. There are also CBD creams that are absorbed through the skin and so-called CBD e-liquids, which can be vaporized and inhaled with the help of “e-cigarettes ". CBD flowers are usually smoked in so-called CBD cigarettes, which can be relatively harmful to health compared to oral intake, for example. Although CBD flowers can also be processed in so-called “edibles ", i.e. foods containing CBD, this is rarely used. So you can say that the possibilities of takingCBD in extracts are more extensive and healthier than those in CBD flowers.
• Ingredients: Some people prefer CBD flowers because it is a natural product and therefore the full spectrum of cannabinoids ( CBD full spectrum) is contained in its naturally occurring mixture. If you value it, you should avoid extracts. At the moment, this is primarily a topic that research is concerned with. It remains to be seen to what extent the concentration of other cannabinoids in a CBD product makes a difference.
