The 'Recorder' tool simultaneously captures your reaction video and generates a "Sync Map" file. This Sync Map is crucial for precisely aligning your reaction with the original YouTube video in the 2. Timeline Editor.

① Top Menu (Header Menu)

• Tutorial: Opens a guide (tutorial) on the program's core functionalities.
• Move to React Central: Navigates to the 'Reaction Central' platform where you can explore other reactor videos.
• WEBM to MP4 VE Converter: (New) Navigates to the download page for the dedicated converter tool. This tool converts recorded WebM files into MP4 format for better compatibility with editing software.

② Step 1: Select Recording Mode

Choose how you want to record your reaction.

• Reaction: (Recommended) Records your Webcam video and generates the Sync Map simultaneously. Most users should select this mode.
• Timestamp: (Advanced) Does NOT record your webcam. It only generates the Sync Map (timing data).
  • Use Case: Select this if you prefer to record your video using external high-quality software like OBS or QuickTime. (Ensure the external recorder does not capture the original YouTube audio).

③ Step 2: Setup

Prepare the essential elements for recording.

• Set YouTube URL: Click this button to input the URL of the original YouTube video you wish to react to.

  • Important: This URL is used to create the "Sync Map" file. Ensure the URL is accurate.

    

• Enable Webcam: Grants the browser permission to access your camera and microphone.

  • 💡 Camera Change Tip (Safari): Due to Safari's architecture, you cannot change the camera within this screen once it is enabled. To switch cameras, you must change your system's default camera before you start recording via [System Settings] → [Privacy & Security] → [Camera].

④ Step 3: Record Your Reaction

Once Step 1 and 2 are complete, the controls in this section become active.
