The 'Recorder' tool simultaneously captures your reaction video and generates a "Sync Map" file.
This Sync Map is crucial for precisely aligning your reaction with the original YouTube video in the 2. Timeline Editor.

① Top Menu (Header Menu)
- Tutorial: Opens a guide (tutorial) on the program's core functionalities.
- Move to React Central: Navigates to the 'Reaction Central' platform where you can explore other reactor videos.
② Step 1: Set YouTube URL
- Function: Click the
Set URL button to input the URL of the original YouTube video you wish to react to.
- Important: This URL is used to create the "Sync Map" file, which records the timing of your reaction relative to the original video. Ensure the URL is accurate.
③ Step 2: Enable Webcam
- Function: Click the
Enable button to grant your browser permission to access your camera and microphone.
- 💡 Camera Change Tip (Safari): Due to Safari's architecture, you cannot change the camera within this screen once it's enabled. To switch cameras, you must change your system's default camera before you start recording via [System Preferences] → [Security & Privacy] → [Camera].
④ Step 3: Start Recording (Download)
- Function: After initiating the recording with the
Start button (⑧), and then stopping it, a Download button will become active in this area.
- Download: Clicking this button saves both your recorded reaction video file (MP4/WebM) and the Sync Map file (.json) to your computer. (Only your webcam video is saved; the original YouTube video is not included in this recording.)
- ⚠️ File Format Note: Due to browser (MediaRecorder API) limitations:
- Safari saves in MP4 format.
- Most other browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) save in WebM format.
- MP4: Compatible with all video editing software.
- WebM: May not be recognized by some older editing software (e.g., older Adobe Premiere Pro versions). If needed, convert WebM to MP4 using free tools like HandBrake or VLC.
