As a creator monetization product, Sunroom moves a lot of money. Ensuring our creators get paid is Sunroom’s primary promise, so we’re looking for a strong Head of Finance & Operations to join the team and manage this key part of our business.
We’re looking for a mission-aligned powerhouse with accounting experience and an analytical mind. You’ll work closely with the founders on developing revenue related KPIs. You’ll play a leading role in building out the finance and ops team at Sunroom, and you’ll also closely collaborate with the product and engineering teams.
The Role:
- Initially, you’ll be responsible for taking our existing financial data and designing and implementing a scalable system for KPI tracking, reporting, analytics and forecasting. Work with engineering to capture the right financial data.
- Analyze and report on Sunroom’s business performance to the broader organization
- Build processes and work with product & engineering to build tools and data infrastructure to allow us to do faster creator payouts
- PNL management.
- Manage the creator payout process (Apple, Stripe). Our creator payout cycles are challenging due to Apple’s payout terms. You’ll be responsible for tracking expected creator payouts, and ensuring we have the right cash on-hand when Sunroom is due to payout. Manage any debt financing or credit lines used for creator payouts (Ampla, Pipe).
- Financial planning/modeling, preparation of financial data for fundraising
- Managing the preparation and issuance of 1099’s for our creators
- Liase with our legal team on our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and creator contracts
- Assist the CEO with budgeting and burn
- Manage vendor contracts
- Work with the product team on building out financial products for creators — from banking, investing, credit, early payouts, and more (we have an exciting product roadmap here!)
