As Audio-As-A-Service API-first Voice Tech company our aim is to democratise the way audio is produced. We use AI and “Deepfake for Good” to create beautiful Voice and Audio from simple Text-to-speech - making creating beautiful audio content (from simple text) as easy as writing a blog. Welcome to Aflorithmic.ai - we are building a 'stripe for Audio' the simplest way to add audio to your app or IoT experience. We're API-first and we're a developer-focused company - one of our mottos is 'yes we ship'.

We're European at heart (Barcelona/London) but we think globally. We have strong technical talent, strong engineering leadership and two of our founders are data scientists. We care about Open Source Software, and sharing knowledge.

We have several staff with Masters and PhDs and we're focused on building a world-class engineering and research culture, although as an API-first company we're focused on hitting the ground running.

We are focused on building the infrastructure to enable the audio-economy, and the popularity of fitness apps, podcasts, smart speakers and the recent unicorn Clubhouse indicates that there is no sign of slow down.

Our customers span publishers, marketing companies and software companies - so you have a unique opportunity to build and design a platform that impacts thousands of people and in the future millions.

This is a special project for a spin-off project with the opportunity to build from the ground up a team of up to 4 people. For an entrepreneurial tech person, this is a unique opportunity to build some novel audio and video technology.

You'll also gain access to the rest of the Aflorithmic team - so we'll be on the same slack and you'll have some hands on mentoring from our entrepreneurial team.

Your responsibilities

Create a technology plan and engineering culture aligned with customer needs and business goals - note the initial idea is already scoped for this project but there's a lot of adjustments that could happen

• Develop a technology plan and roadmap as part of our quarterly OKRs and annual planning to deliver transformative customer experiences and achieve our business objectives
• Working with the Head of Product and Product Manager, plan and release product roadmap features alongside supporting internal requirements for engineering
• Connect the engineering plan and team output to our planned timelines and key metrics including revenue targets

Planning scalable architecture to support quality product experiences, fast growth and revenue

• Build technology and maintain a technology architecture that’s scalable, being the ultimate decision maker on our technology stack
• Be responsible for information security as a critical component of our technology, given we operate with personalised identifiable information (voice)
• Build and maintain relationships with critical audio and video infrastructure partners, managing integrations, and choosing and developing new, best in class partner integrations
• Build and lead a technology function
