🧭 Your role at a glance

As Head of Belonging, you’ll lead three major streams of work:

1. Attracting values-aligned humans through storytelling, marketing, community outreach, and referrals.
2. Designing and running a magical onboarding experience that guides each member through their first 30-60 days.
3. Crafting relational infrastructure that ensures new members feel seen, supported, and invited into deeper connection.

You’ll manage communications across email, Substack, social, and Slack, and partner with the GM, Community Lead, and Ops team to evolve this core portal of transformation.

You're not just helping them navigate logistics — you’re guiding them into a new way of being with others.

🧱 Core Responsibilities

As Head of Belonging, you’ll design and steward the entire new member journey—from first spark of interest to deep integration into our community.

• Attract the right people by sharing our story in ways that feel alive, compelling, and true—across digital channels, partnerships, and referral networks.
• Create magical first experiences that make new members feel seen, grounded, and inspired to engage—from orientation events to welcome rituals and 1:1 moments of care.
• Craft systems of belonging—using Slack, email, and Notion—to guide members through their first 60 days with clarity, warmth, and momentum.
• Weave culture in motion by tending the tone of our community communications, asking great questions, celebrating moments, and tuning into the emotional pulse of each cohort.
• Collaborate across the team to ensure the new member experience aligns with programming, operations, and our evolving Commons vision.
• Continuously learn and adapt by tracking feedback and engagement, identifying drop-off points, and refining systems to support deeper connection and long-term retention.
