Currently, 99 of Iowa's 99 counties are primarily populated by humans, livestock, and row crops. Why don't we change that to 98 out of 99?
In the 1930s, it was proposed that an 800,000 acre "Hawkeye National Forest" be established in Southern Iowa. The rump area preserved is currently the 9000 acre Shimek State Forest.
We propose that the size of that forest be tripled in the next 5 years.
