As the eldest daughter raised in a Filipino immigrant household, I grew up with the core values of empathizing with and caring for those around me. Now, equipped with my training in Product Design and Computer Science at Stanford University under mentors like David Kelley, my goal is to foster connections and empower others through the intersection of human-centered design, engineering, art, and business.
As a Pre-Med student turned Designer, I've been committed to using design as a tool to restore justice within health and wellness and to make them more accessible to marginalized communities. In the past, I've done this by designing for a maternal health startup, a sexual health education platform, and a mental health referral platform. Most recently, I was a marketing intern at Sequel, a medical device company that is reengineering the tampon, and am currently a UX designer and researcher at The Better Lab, a research center that uses human-centered design to study and fix healthcare challenges.
Above all, I’m interested in how much positive impact can come out of not just the most grandiose, innovative technologies, but also the simplest moments and interactions. It’s my core belief that when we are truly thoughtful about the decisions we make and prioritize inclusivity, sustainability, accessibility, and empathy, we can create lasting, meaningful experiences that uplift the people that use them, the businesses that build them, and the world that offers its resources to them.
