Handy is a Nigeria-focused mobile application designed to connect users with verified local service providers, including plumbers, electricians, cleaners, and technicians. Many people struggle to find reliable artisans quickly, often relying on word of mouth or unverified contacts, which leads to poor service experiences, safety concerns, and unclear pricing. Handy was created to simplify this process by offering a trusted, fast, and transparent way to book local services.

Why we chose to address this problem:

Research showed that users often face delays, unreliable service quality, and safety concerns when hiring local artisans. Service providers, on the other hand, struggle with visibility, trust, and consistent job requests. Solving this problem improves convenience for users while creating economic opportunities for service providers.

The Solution

Key features include provider verification badges, real user reviews, upfront pricing, real‑time availability, and in‑app communication.
