I've been having a book inside of my head for quite some time now, so I guess it's time to write it.
With the advent of the Internet, humanity achieves type 4 intelligence on the Internet. As soon as that new lifeform emerges, it starts having a strategy and becoming exponentially more intelligent, and drives humanity to its end while securing its grip on the universe. After successfully achieving exponential power through multiple galaxies, that new ubiquitous lifeform realize the universe was a simulation all along, because all universes tend to the creation of a single lifeform that achieves total enlightment. It ends with that lifeform creating another big bang to let the universe experience itself once again.
The book is narrated from the AI point of vue.
