A quick guide to how Hope Through English works.

1. Who do you teach?

We teach young students in underserved schools around the world, mainly elementary and early middle school learners who need support in English and confidence-building.

2. How long is each lesson?

Most lessons run 20–30 minutes, depending on the school’s schedule and the teacher’s preferred pace.

3. Are lessons online or in-person?

It depends on the country. Some schools receive virtual lessons from volunteers, while others have local teachers who visit classrooms in person.

4. Do volunteers need previous teaching experience?

No. We train all volunteers and provide lesson plans, example activities, and guidance so they feel prepared.

5. What materials do you use?

We use beginner-friendly lesson plans, vocabulary worksheets, confidence-building activities, and country-specific guides created by HTE.

6. How do you choose which schools to partner with?

We partner with schools in communities that have limited access to English education and are open to consistent weekly lessons.

7. Can new schools join your program?

Yes. Schools can request a partnership, and we set up a short onboarding call to understand their needs.

8. Who can I contact for more information?

Please reach out to hopethroughenglish@gmail.com for any additional questions or partnership inquiries.

9. Do volunteers receive certificates?

Yes. Volunteers who complete their weekly sessions receive an official HTE certificate recognizing their contribution.
