Importance: High

Status: Pending build (scoped, not started)

Owner decision captured: Sam approved the two-environment architecture on May 28.

The problem this solves

Two live, distinct, competing car-accident pages currently exist and cannibalize each other:

Google sees two pages targeting the same intent. Paid and organic traffic split across them. Neither is purpose-built for its job.

The approved architecture

Two pages, two jobs, no overlap:

  1. Organic / AI-authority winner (indexed). One canonical car-accident page built for ranking and AI citation: comprehensive depth, schema (LegalService + FAQPage + BreadcrumbList), E-E-A-T signals, internal links, inline authoritative citations, strong slug. This is the page the primary nav points to and the page that earns organic + LLM visibility.
  2. Paid landing page winner (NOINDEX). A separate, conversion-built landing page for Google Ads: minimal or no nav, single dominant CTA, tight message-match to ad copy, fast load, trust strip, BSG, no competing links. This is where the ads point.

Critical technical nuance (do not fumble)

The paid LP must use a meta-robots noindex tag, but must NOT be disallowed in robots.txt. The Google Ads landing-page crawler must be able to reach it. noindex via meta tag does not hurt Quality Score; a robots.txt block would. Keep it crawlable, just non-indexed.

Recommended build sequence

  1. Confirm the organic ranking winner via GSC before committing any 301. Use the seo-pulse skill / Search Console to see which of 6891 vs 30918 currently holds rankings and impressions for the money terms. Never 301 away the page that already holds the equity. Display the data for Sam before deciding direction.
  2. Default recommendation (pending GSC confirm): keep /practice-areas/car-accident-lawyer/ (6891) as the ORGANIC winner. Its slug matches the high-intent commercial query and it already has the comprehensive content. Merge the best unique content from /car-accidents/ (30918) into it.
  3. 301 the loser to the winner. If 6891 is organic winner, 301 /practice-areas/car-accidents/ to it. Preserve any unique inbound links.
  4. Build the new paid LP at a clearly-separate, noindexed URL (suggest /lp/car-accident/ or /go/car-accident/). Use frontend-design + sa-split-results-hero + sa-template-reference skills. Conversion-first layout. BSG, results panel, single Call/Form CTA, trust strip, no global nav.
