Translating Dreams into Reality

Introduction

There is a pentecost of creativity within the life of the Urban Training Collaborative. This is a beautiful and generative move of the Spirit in her work of calling forth life. The goal is to come alongside the creative work of the Spirit and give our gift in a simple, repeatable and highly contextual way. What follows is a process and some guidelines to help our Senior Fellows shepherd the multitude of ideas being birthed in cities around the globe.

Criteria

The ideas that will need to be submitted through this process are those ideas generated by the members of the Urban Training Collaborative that require resources of Street Psalms. The resources required could be time, money, leadership or others, but the key question is: Does this idea require Street Psalms’ resources and is it being led by a member of Street Psalms’ Senior Fellows, Board, Ordained or Staff? If the answer to the question is “Yes” then it needs to be submitted to the process below. If the answer is “No”, such as when a Hub offers a training or workshop and invites the members of the Urban Training Collaborative to participate, then Street Psalms simply blesses this work and celebrates the Network Effect taking place in the life of the Urban Training Collaborative.

Guidelines for Submission

There are 3 key questions that should guide a Senior Fellow or other member of the Street Psalms Community, as they discern an idea for submission.

  1. Is this idea compatible with the Incarnational Framework?
  2. Does this idea enhance the work of developing Incarnational Leaders to create cities of peace for all people?
  3. Is this idea a resource that could become a gift to the entire Collaborative?

Assuming the answer to these 3 key questions is “Yes” we welcome the submission of the idea using the simple form below.

You'll also be asked to rank the priority of the project. Here are the categories:

Once you have submitted the form, the idea will be reviewed and discussed by the Senior Management Team. If the idea is given the green light, the Design Team will reach out to start the Research and Design (R&D) phase of the process. This R&D phase could last a few weeks or months and is followed by the Pilot phase. The Pilot phase usually lasts 6-12 months. After the Pilot there is an assessment of the initiative. Once the assessment is completed, the initiative will move to the Roll-out phase or if more discernment is needed then there may be other steps recommended.
