Here’s everything to set your watchlist up and how to use it.
The watchlist is managed as a table (database) where the each table property holds information for the media.
Automatic updates are managed for each title in your watchlist by the integration.
Step 1: Grab the template
Duplicate the template into your Notion

Step 2: Authorize the Notion Watchlist server
Grant the server access to your watchlist
- On the install integration page, make sure you agree to the listed details.
- Click on ‘Select pages’
- At the page picker, make sure to select ‘Watchlist DB’ only (you can search for the DB in the search box if you do not see it at first) OR the appropriate compatible DB you wish to use
- Since you will be giving access to the exact database, you can move it around in your Notion. You can also design your own template using the database.
- If the ‘Watchlist DB’ doesn’t show upon searching:
- Click on ‘Allow access’
- Upon clicking ‘Allow access’, the page may take a couple of seconds so do not close the window until you receive a message.
- You will receive a message saying it was successful as well as an email. Save for future reference
Make sure you to check your spam/junk if you don’t see it in your mailbox.
- If you do receive an error message instead, follow the steps in the message.

Media Data / Properties Info
The ‘Name’ property is used to trigger and fetch the details
- Enter the title of the media you wish to get details for in the ‘Name’ property.
- Add ; at the end of the title. Example → The Batman;
- The details should be fetched in a moment or two. Please note that this depends on the notion’s server so if the server is down or slow, the updates will take more than the expected time to be reflected.
